Lustre on EC2

Lustre is a distributed file-system developed by Oracle geared mainly for HPC clusters. As such, it was designed to work with SAN's, RAID hardware, high speed networks and other server grade components - not very cloud friendly.

Nevertheless, Lustre's speed, scalability and wide support make it a candidate for high performance cloud deployments.
